"Thank you for a terrific evening last night! Gabs, Edward and I shared a cab home and we all said how much we enjoyed the party and what a great mix of people there was. I think it helped that most people knew at least one (or more!)of the other guests... definitely helped create the relaxed informality of a friend's dinner party as it was basically several groups of friends coming together!
I also loved the venue - hadn't been there before but Cicada's sister restaurant in Notting Hill (E&O - also pan Asian) is one of my favourites. Apparently they are opening a new one in Belsize Village in a few weeks whcih I am looking forward to trying at some point!
